What Habitat Planning can do for You!

What we can do for you, and for wildlife...

We can develop forest management guidelines and plans to maintain wildlife habitats, biodiversity, and wood harvest.

Plans will incorporate customer-provided information, local expertise, and regional research findings where possible to ensure.

Forest information collection services (cruising and photo interpretation) can be provided, or existing customer forest information (using inventory information as surrogates of habitat conditions) can be used for plan development.

We can...

· Develop definitions of habitat using personal knowledge of Habitat Planning, regional research findings, and customer and other local expertise.

· Identify surrogates of habitat conditions within the customers current forest inventory information, or provide data collection, photo interpretation, or other characterization as required.

· Develop logical forest habitat models in which specific forest stand types and ages are eligible for specific treatments in the model, and transitional stand condition is dependent of treatment type, and the age and type of the treated stand.

· Prepare a range of plan options, from basic guidance, to detailed report of habitat, and other forest conditions with, and without management.
